How we run each charter
Every departure is private — your group and no one else. The crew plans the route in advance based on your chosen charter and the forecast for that day, but they remain flexible once on the water. If conditions favour a different anchorage, or the group wants more time somewhere, the schedule adapts.
We depart from Mae Nam pier on the northern coast of Koh Samui. It's a calmer and less congested departure point than the busier piers on the east and west, and it puts us closer to the Ang Thong route and the passage north to Koh Phangan.
Typical timeline
Guests arrive at Mae Nam pier. Crew conducts a brief vessel walkthrough and safety orientation.
Departure. Drinks and light snacks served as the yacht clears the bay and the day's route begins.
Anchor at main destination. Lunch served onboard (full-day and multi-day charters). Snorkeling and kayaking time.
Cruise back to Mae Nam at a relaxed pace. Arrival varies by charter type — see below for specifics.
Charter 01
Mae Nam Coastal Cruise
A four-hour charter following the quiet northern coastline of Koh Samui from Mae Nam pier. The route passes shallow bays, coconut-palm-lined shores, and an optional snorkel stop at a reef accessible only by boat. The atmosphere is unhurried — suited to guests who want genuine time on the water rather than a packed itinerary.

Charter 02
Ang Thong Park Day Trip
A full-day voyage to the Ang Thong National Marine Park — a cluster of more than forty limestone islands west of Koh Samui. The crew navigates between the park's main highlights: a viewpoint with a panorama of the archipelago, the emerald lagoon accessible by a short walk, and coral snorkel sites in sheltered bays. Kayaks are available for exploring the shallower inlets. A freshly prepared Thai lunch is served onboard at anchor.

Charter 03
Samui-to-Tao Sailing Trip
A multi-day passage sailing north from Koh Samui to Koh Tao, with an overnight anchorage at Koh Phangan en route. The yacht is fully provisioned for the passage — sleeping cabins, climate control, and all meals prepared onboard. The crew manages navigation and anchoring throughout. At Koh Tao, guests can arrange diving equipment rental independently. Fuel and mooring fees are included in the daily rate.

What stays the same regardless of which you choose
Private departure, always
Every wavecres charter is your group only. We don't share vessels between bookings on the same day.
Weather-dependent scheduling
Departures are assessed on the morning of the charter. If conditions are unsuitable, we reschedule without penalty.
Safety equipment on every vessel
Life jackets, VHF radio, first aid, and flares are present and checked before departure on all charters.
Environmental conduct
No anchoring on reef. No single-use plastics. Guests receive a brief on reef etiquette before any snorkel stop.
