What makes a charter with us different
Local sea knowledge
Our crew has sailed these waters for years. They know the tides, the quieter anchorages, and when to adjust a route to make the most of conditions.
Well-maintained fleet
Each yacht in the wavecres fleet is serviced regularly and kept in seaworthy condition. Safety equipment is inspected before every departure.
Onboard provisions
Meals, snacks, and drinks are prepared fresh for each trip. Multi-day charters include full onboard catering — no need to plan meals separately.
Flexible itineraries
Routes can be adjusted to suit your group's pace. Prefer to linger at a bay? Skip a viewpoint hike? The schedule is a guide, not a script.
Safety first
All departures are weather-dependent. We monitor conditions closely and communicate clearly if conditions require a change of plan.
Transparent pricing
The prices listed cover fuel, crew, provisions, and park fees where applicable. No hidden additions at the end of the day.

Questions
Things people usually ask
What's included in the charter price?
Each charter covers the yacht, crew, fuel, and onboard provisions (snacks and drinks for day trips; full meals for multi-day passages). The Ang Thong day trip also includes national park entry fees. Diving equipment rental at Koh Tao on the sailing passage can be arranged separately.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend reaching out at least a week ahead for day charters, and two to three weeks in advance for multi-day passages. During December–March (peak season in the Gulf), earlier is better. We do our best to accommodate last-minute requests when availability allows.
What happens if the weather is poor?
Safety is the deciding factor. If conditions aren't suitable on the day, we'll contact you as early as possible and work with you to find a new date or adjust the itinerary. We monitor Thai Meteorological Department forecasts and make decisions based on actual sea state, not just the forecast.
Can we change the route once onboard?
Within reason, yes. The planned route is a framework. If the group wants more time snorkeling and less time hiking, the crew can accommodate that. Major changes — like adding a destination that significantly extends the sailing time — may affect fuel cost or timing.
Is sailing experience required?
Not at all. The wavecres crew handles all sailing and navigation. Guests are welcome to observe, ask questions, or simply relax. If you have sailing experience and would like to take the helm at some point, let us know in advance and the captain can discuss that with you.
How large is the typical group?
Charters are private — you and your group will have the yacht to yourselves. Capacity depends on the vessel; most comfortably accommodate groups of 4 to 10 guests. If your group is larger, contact us and we'll discuss the best arrangement.
